GTA San Andreas PS3

San Andreas?  June 4, 2015 – 02:22 pm

Those of you hoping to return to a snazzier Grove Street on the PlayStation 3 may be disappointed to learn that the rumoured updated version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has only been confirmed for the Xbox 360 so far. When achievements for the title leaked earlier in the week, we speculated that it'd be unlikely for the re-release to be exclusive – but right now, it looks like we were wrong.

“Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Xbox Marketplace will be available again for purchase beginning 26th October, through Games on Demand, ” a spokesperson wrote on developer Rockstar Games’ website. “This version features 720p resolution, enhanced draw distance, and achievement support.”

What’s strange is that this information comes courtesy of a support ticket, and not a proper announcement. Moreover, the question which extracted these details from the firm pertains to the absence of the Xbox Originals release from Microsoft’s storefront. It’s worth pointing out, then, that the PS2 Classics edition of the game is also missing from the PlayStation Store. So, is there still hope for a PS3 version? We hope so.
